Prandy's Story

I purchased your products from SplashImaging, the local u/w photography shop here in the Philippines.

The leak occurred at 70 feet depth during our holiday dive in Puerto Galera, Mindoro, Philippines at a dive site called Canyons. My S95 shutter wouldn't work after a couple of shots so I just turned it off. I completed the dive, left the camera in the rinse tank and only discovered it leaked when I started to dry it to pack for our trip back home. I opened the Ikelite housing and noticed that the packs had burst but when I turned on the camera it still worked.

comments:
Last week while in Kenya I inadvertently missed a hair on my main
housing O-ring and completed the dive in ignorance that water was leaking
into my housing.

If it wasn't for the leak insure sachet inside I would have lost my camera,
lens and the entire trip would have come to an abrupt end.

Thanks, Gavin

Leak Insure 5 Star review

This is the best product on the market to give you a fighting chance to save your expensive housed camera equipment. Well worth the price with huge upside advantages. As a long time underwater photographer this product is the best thing that has come along in a very long time.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments:
Last friday, it was my turn to suddenly realise that my brand new uw-housing (2nd dive with it!) holding my new camera (Nikon D7000) suddenly at the end of a dive was starting to leak!!!

It was a control (for AE-L/AF-L) that was leaking, so it had nothing to do with me not being careful with the o-rings etc.

Yes, I had tested the housing before I went diving with it and, I had already done a 30m dive with it the week before.

Salty water was slowly pooring into the uw-housing and I did NOT panic! NOT?
Yep, I was actually pretty calm, annoyed but calm. Am I very rich or especially stupid? Nope, on the contrary; I was insured: Leak insured! ......
